- Timeline: 2014-2016
- Type/Setting: Start-up
- Team: Bogi Napoleon Wennerström, Rani Högnason Hansen, Tummas Jóhan Sigvardsen
- My role: My role was to create a visual identity for the website, concept development, idea generation, write articles, run the Facebook-page.
- Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML, CSS, PHP
- Skills: Concept Development, Visual identity, Idea generation, Journalism, SoMe
If you wanted to read the news, you needed to visit around 15 news sites, and this was a problem that we set out to fix.
As you can see on the images below (Solution), I can’t seem to find a video/screenshot of the page - so I visited the Wayback Machine to try and find a screenshot. This was the best I could find.
On the first picture, we see the initial webdesign and on the second, we see the implemented and iterated version. The website ended up featuring way more than just article snippets from news sites. We ended up implementing a telephone number finder, a weather forecast, airport arrivals/departures, football live scores, oil prices, statistics about grammatical errors of the Faroese journalistic community, as well as other statistics and finally automatic postings on our Facebook page, which eventually gained 1.200 followers.
